Born in Atlanta. Built by the People.
We are the independent supporters group of Atlanta United FC — a community of ultras, families, and first-timers united by one club.
How It Started
A group of friends who believed Atlanta deserved a proper supporters culture — loud, passionate, and rooted in the community — showed up to that first match and never left.
We took our name from the Latin American barra brava tradition: organized supporter groups known for their relentless energy, choreographed displays, and unwavering loyalty. The 17 honors Atlanta United's original 17s — the supporters who helped build this club from the ground up.
Today we are hundreds strong, spread throughout Mercedes-Benz Stadium — our home. We march together, chant together, and celebrate together — win, lose, or draw.
Mission Statement
Barra 17 strengthens Atlanta’s soccer community by welcoming, educating, and connecting supporters of every experience level. As an Atlanta United supporter organization, Barra 17 grows the local fan base, celebrates the traditions of the game, and turns shared passion for soccer into civic pride.

Barra 17 honors that legacy by helping advance the city’s supporter culture within Major League Soccer.

By bringing Atlanta culture to the soccer world, Barra 17 reflects the city’s diversity, energy, and creativity while creating a community where supporters feel respected, represented, and connected.
